Disposable insulated box
It is mainly used in cold chain logistics to safely and stably maintain the temperature environment required for the items inside the box during one-time transportation.
Disposable insulated box-Core features
Single-use: Core feature. The original design intention is to be discarded or
recycled immediately after use, without the need to return to the shipping
point, thus avoiding the complex processes and costs of cleaning, disinfection,
verification and reverse logistics.
Lightweight and efficient: Usually made of lightweight materials such as
thickened corrugated paper, foam plastics (such as EPS – polystyrene or EPP –
polypropylene), heat insulation reflective films, etc., it ensures insulation
performance while minimizing self-weight to the greatest extent.
Integrated temperature control: The box itself provides basic insulation, and
its heat preservation capacity mainly relies on the built-in phase change
material (PCM) cold storage agent, such as ice packs, dry ice or gel packs.
These cold storage agents absorb or release a large amount of heat during the
phase change process, thereby maintaining a constant temperature inside the box
for a long time.
Ready-to-use: Usually provided in a standardized and pre-assembled form.
Users only need to activate the corresponding cold storage agent according to
the temperature requirements of the product (such as 2-8°C, freezing -18°C) and
place it in the box for use. The operation is simple and convenient.
The cost structure is special: The single purchase cost is relatively lower
than that of reusable insulated boxes, but the total cost is transferred to the
consumables for each transportation. Scenarios suitable for calculating the
total cost of Ownership (TCO) of a single transportation trip.
